Daniel’s teaching style made the course very easy for me to follow and also understand. The topic is obviously very interesting and after finishing the course I feel ready to take on a project of my own, but also ready to take on even more advanced courses on Data Science and Machine Learning, like the Tensorflow Developer Certificate 2023, also by Daniel.

Carlos Gil Berrocal –
The course is very good and both Daniel and Andrei made the course and the lectures interesting and engaging. The course covers first some python libraries that are central to data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib) and then goes on to look at scikit-learn and different kinds of models. Later in the course, tensorflow is used for a multi-class classification project using deep neaural networks and transfer learning. In my opinion, the best about the course is that everything is updated (even though the course was first released a couple of years prior to this review). I also enjoyed the projects and the emphasis on coding, and mastering the core concepts. This course does not go deep into the mathematics behind machine learning, so someone who is interested in knowing how to program machine learning from scratch, to learn what gradient descend or adam optimizers are or to learn what regularization techniques will not find it here. Even though links and directions are provided pointing at different resources where more information can be found to more in-depth topics, a lot of the theory is only briefly discussed. Finally, something that I think was a bit annoying is that a lot of the videos, specially in the final project, are quite long because daniel types quite exhaustive documentation. Even though I know this is good practice, it still feels like this could be already pre-typed so that we don’t need to watch 5 min of writing a long to-do list. Anyhow, I would recommend this course to everyone who wants to get their hands dirty with machine learning and start coding and solving real-world problems right away (for exmple from Kaggle). Worth every penny!

I have to say it takes me a lot of time to merely finish the course. It covers a whole bunch of topics related to real world work scenarios apart from the hard skills that needed in data science or machine learning field. I like the way daniel teaching things by repetition of chunks of codes (this is how we learn new tricks) and writing things out before actually coding. I learned a lot from this course and still need time to congest them. This course will lay a good fundation for someone who want dip more into data scientist career, but if you want to know the mathematical principles behind the algorithms such as random forest, neural networks, you’ll have to go and study by yourself. Generally speaking, this course is excellent stepstone for more advanced or real life data science.
