There is no reason to take this couse if you already took Colt’s Web Dev Bootcamp. Same course with very little extra content like testing and some Node modules. It is nice to see a couple extra applications but come on %70 of the course is just same as Web Dev Bootcamp.

Good course. I wish they had more practice exercises besides the code a longs. I am confident in my js now though. Moving onto react next, thanks!

I can’t express how much value I was able to reap from this course. I personally like Colt Steele and how the guy teaches you coding but damn! Stephen is now also my favorite teacher of all time.
I would be forever grateful for all the information I was able to retrieve from this particular course. It took me a long time to finish but I enjoyed each and every part of it.
Thank you so much, Colt & Stephen.

Great into to javascript. I’m having fun making some modifications to the projects and branching out. I can’t get a job with this knowledge but I’m off to a great start I think.

This is an amazing course to start understanding Javascript. A good tandem Colt Steele and Stephen Grinder, really an amazing experience.

Both Colt and Stephen are a pleasure to learn from. I wasn’t sure at first that I would like Colt turning over the remainder of the course to Stephen. But I ended up really liking their different teaching styles. As you get to the last five lessons of the course be sure that you are running compatible versions of node and jsdom if you throw a SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘.’ error.

I really liked this course from both trainers. The one thing I’d love to see for future would be a bit around these ECMA modules and handling those versus require statements. I’m running into that more and more with online training and I was really hoping this course would cover that, maybe on future editions? Otherwise, very happy with the value for money and training skill.

Update: I can’t move forward because the code that I followed along with isn’t doing on my end what it’s doing in the video. Not only have I posted with a question about what I have wrong, and never received an answer, but I’ve also re-posted just asking someone to please take a look at my issue that not got addressed. Both posts/requests have been completely ignored for weeks. Do not expect any support from this class.
I’m a php developer and I’ve always hated JS but my job is forcing me to learn my way around it. I’m slowly starting to warm up to JS and I couldn’t have picked a better course.

Everything is laid out well. The explanations are in depth enough to understand each section without overdoing it. The instructor has a very clear voice and speaks at a consistent cadence.

I am learning a lot on both instructors. Teaching methodology is good, they explain concepts and processes one step at a time.

I enjoyed this course as much as one of the authors hates mayonnaise, strongly recommend 🙂

Better than his $11,500 Springboard.com Software Engineer Course. Buy this on sale and save $11,485 compared to the Springboard.com ripoff,
